Julie is an E-RYT 500 trained instructor with additional certifications as a 300-hour teacher of Yoga Therapy, Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy, Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Adaptive Yoga. She discovered yoga in 1996 after breaking her back. Through a dedicated home practice she gradually regained mobility, reclaimed her active lifestyle and developed a passion for the healing power of yoga. Her strength lies in her unique eye for body mechanics cultivated from years of athletic endeavors. This vision enables her to adapt postures for individual students while teaching to the whole class. Her classes combine breath centered integrative movement with traditional yogic philosophy to cultivate a sense of grounded liberation.
