Program Description
Free Mindful Way Workshop
The Mindful Way Workshop hosted by Courtney is a heartfelt invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the wisdom that lives within.
Thrive Yoga Crested Butte welcomes you to this nurturing, donation-based gathering where community, healing, and self-inquiry meet on the mat, all offered in service of the Gunnison Food Bank.
What to Expect in This Transformative Three-Hour Journey
This immersive experience thoughtfully weaves together the ancient wisdom of coherence and balanced breathwork, the restorative depths of yin yoga, and the grounding of mindfulness dharma. Together, these practices create a powerful container for emotional resilience, nervous system regulation, and deep presence
Coherence & Balanced Breathwork
Begin your journey with intentional Nordic-Flow breathing techniques designed to create coherence between your heart, mind, and nervous system. These practices help shift your body from survival mode into a state of calm awareness, allowing you to access your natural capacity for healing and insight. Through guided breath patterns, you’ll learn to work with your autonomic nervous system, creating space between stimulus and response.
Yin Yoga Practice
Settle into longer-held, passive postures that target deep connective tissues and energy meridians. This meditative practice invites you to embrace stillness and surrender, creating space for emotions and sensations to arise and be witnessed with compassion. Props and gentle guidance ensure accessibility for all bodies, while the extended holds offer profound opportunities for self-inquiry and release.
Mindfulness Teachings
Woven throughout the experience are timeless teachings that illuminate the path of awakening. Explore how ancient wisdom applies to our modern challenges. These teachings offer practical frameworks for understanding suffering, cultivating compassion, and finding freedom in the midst of life’s inevitable difficulties.
Participants will experience:
- Coherence breathing techniques that harmonize your nervous system and awaken embodied awareness
- Restorative yin yoga sequences that create space for deep listening and emotional processing
- Mindfulness teachings that offer practical wisdom for navigating life’s challenges with grace
- Guided journal exercises and contemplative practices that inspire reflection.
- Somatic awareness practices that help you reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom.
- Community connection and shared witnessing in a supportive environment.
- Practical tools for responding rather than reacting to stress, rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern understanding
This workshop is designed for practitioners of all levels who are ready to explore the intersection of breath, body, and spirit.Come with an open heart and willingness to meet whatever arises with curiosity and kindness.

Mindfulness Meditation and Philosophy became powerful tools for managing stress, and she integrates them into her daily life and teachings. Courtney's yoga training includes Hatha, Ashtanga, and Yin, with over 700 hours of study in both India and Colorado. She has worked with her teacher Diana, founder of Encinitas Mindfulness Community for 15 years, and completed Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher Certification at UCSD's Center for Mindfulness. Additionally, she is a certified breathwork instructor, having completed Level 1 and 2 certifications with Nordic Flow, specializing in breath training and cold therapy. These combined experiences have led her to create The Mindful Way, a holistic approach that integrates breathwork, yoga, and mindfulness meditation to help students navigate life's challenges with greater ease and awareness.
