LYT Method Workshop Series The Super Psoas
Get to know this amazing muscle that does so much more than flex the hip! Did you
know it attaches to your lower spine, and pierces through your diaphragm! We often
feel it is tight, but that does not necessarily mean it is strong.
If we sit a lot, it is chronically in a passive, shortened position, which does indeed restrict it’s pliability. However leaning on and passively stretching your psoas, say in a lizard/low lunge pose, hasn’t proven to be a long term solution. Come to this workshop and find out why not and explore a possible better solution.

Juliet Stillman has been practicing yoga for 30 plus years and been teaching for about 15.
She is passionate about continuing her education and has over 1,000 hours in teacher training credits.
She believes yoga should be a safe practice that supports daily functional life. The goal of every class is to optimize posture and movement patterns in order to find freedom, ease, and longevity of movement.
This in turn creates a cascade of positive effects in all areas of our lives. Her mission is to empower each student through education, to encourage self-study and curiosity, and to model the life of a modern yogi.
