Therapeutic Yoga Workshop
Program Description
Therapeutic Yoga Workshop
In this Therapeutic yoga workshop, we will move slowly through a two-hour practice based on the principles of therapeutic yoga. This approach involves a methodical application of sequences designed to unwind fascial patterns of holding and pain in the body. While much of the work is floor-based and passive, it remains a deeply effective and transformative practice.
What is a Therapeutic yoga workshop?
Therapeutic yoga works by resetting the nervous system, opening the joints, and releasing restrictive patterns through long holds and precise alignment. This process targets the body’s underlying structure, allowing for a deeper, more lasting release. Although the movements may appear simple, the practice requires mindful engagement and can be surprisingly intense.
This is an all-level class, welcoming athletes, sedentary individuals, young and old alike. Regardless of your level of experience, you will find this practice accessible and beneficial. The focus on joint health rather than just stretching muscles helps address the root cause of tension and discomfort, promoting optimal structure and function throughout the body.
By working with the joints, we aim to restore the body’s natural alignment, enabling internal systems to function as efficiently as possible. This creates a supportive environment for long-term health and vitality, making this practice a form of “anti-aging yoga” from the inside out. The effects extend beyond the physical, fostering clarity and ease in the mind.
The workshop uses straightforward, accessible poses that require no special flexibility or strength. Each shape is designed to facilitate genuine freedom of movement, emphasizing stability and comfort. Through this intentional, therapeutic approach, you will cultivate a deeper awareness of your body and its unique needs.
Expect a calm, supportive environment where you can explore the practice at your own pace. Whether you seek relief from chronic pain, greater mobility, or simply a chance to unwind, this workshop offers valuable tools for lifelong well-being.
We look forward to sharing this transformative experience with you. Come as you are, with an open mind and a willingness to explore the potential for healing and renewal through therapeutic yoga.
