Therapeutic yoga is deeply nourishing for all systems of the body—circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, and importantly the nervous system, bringing about more openness to the body and mind.
In this class celebrating the autumnal equinox we will focus on the timely themes of transformation and release. The Kundalini practice integrates our eternal, infinite selves with our bodily, material selves. We will use a combination of pranayama (breathwork), kriyas (dynamic actions for a specific purpose), meditation, and mantras which help direct the mind into positivity.
Join us for a powerful guided breathwork meditation designed to clear stagnant energy and realign you with your natural self. This simple, yet prolonged, 3-part breath technique stimulates hormones and new brain wave lengths, guiding you into a deeply meditative, introspective state during this extended ceremony. It’s called a journey because, similar to a psychedelic journey, each breathwork session takes you on an inner voyage, guided by your own body, into release, insight, and deeper connection, while maintaining complete awareness and control of yourself.
Mullein is our focus this autumn. This plant ally is known for its affinity with the lungs and skeletal system. We’ll drink this infusion through a sitting meditation and integrate its gifts into the movement of our bodies and breaths.
This workshop is a sanctuary for those who live active, demanding lives—especially athletes and others who may rarely slow down enough to truly rest. While high-performance training often emphasizes strength, endurance, and speed, true wellness also includes restoration and mindful stillness. Therapeutic yoga bridges this gap by offering a gentle yet effective practice that complements physical activity and aids in recovery.
Settle in, get cozy, and let waves of pure tone wash through you. This immersive sound bath blends the deep, oceanic resonance of metal gongs with the shimmering overtones of singing bowls to gently guide your nervous system from busy to calm.
Take an evening to slow down, soften, and care for yourself. Hosted by Jess Johnson with Wild Rose & Ritual.
Spend an afternoon enjoying a 75 minute Kaiut practice followed by a 45 minute savasana with optional acupuncture. This practice will incorporate both familiar and new poses. We will experiment with some longer hold times to move deeper into the nervous system.
We will have two hours during which we move at the pace of the nervous system, supporting the structural body to release excess holding in the joints and the organs.
