Therapeutic Yoga uses a methodic application of sequences to unwind fascial patterns of holding and pain in the body. Much of the work is floor-based and passive, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy! This therapeutic style of yoga resets the nervous system, opens the joints, and releases patterns of restriction in the body, using long holds and specific alignment.
Yin Yoga for the front body targets the deep connective tissue in the chest, abdomen, and hips using passive, long held stretches to release tension, improve posture, and open the heart. This afternoon immersion aims to counteract the effects of activating the psoas, hip flexors, and quadriceps continually.
